You use a label control to display descriptive text (such as a title, a caption, or instructions) on a form or report. Labels can be separate controls, which is common when they are used for titles or data-entry instructions. When labels are used for field captions, they are often attached to the control that they describe. You can display labels on a single line or on multiple lines. Labels are unbound controls that accept no input; you use them strictly for one-way communication (they are read-only). You can use them on many types of controls. Figure 14-3 shows many uses of labels, including titles, captions, button text, and captions for buttons and boxes. You can use different font styles and sizes for your labels, and you can boldface, italicize, and underline them. You should capitalize the first letter of each word in a label, except for articles and conjunctions, such as the, an, and, or, and so on. You should follow several guidelines when you use label controls with other controls. The following list explains some of these placement guidelines, which are shown Figure 14-3: Command buttons. Once you have a fully functional Windows Server failover cluster, make sure that you have everything you need to install a SQL Server 2008 failover clustering instance. A single SQL Server 2008 failover clustering instance requires the following: Unique IP address: This is the SQL Server IP address that the clients will use to connect to the SQL Server. SQL Server 2008 allows using multiple IP addresses on separate networks, but it does not allow OR dependency even though Windows Server 2008 failover clustering supports OR dependency. SQL Server 2008 supports AND dependency. This means that if multiple IP addresses are used, then all IP addresses must be online in order for SQL Server to be online. If any one of the IP addresses goes of ine, then SQL Server will go of ine, too. As mentioned earlier, a SQL Server 2008 failover cluster installed on a Windows Server 2008 failover cluster supports DHCP. A dedicated IP is still recommended, though. Unique network name: This is the SQL network name that the clients will use to connect to the SQL Server. If this is a named instance of SQL Server, then you also need the instance name. For example, consider SQL2008\INST1, where SQL2008 is the SQL network name and INST1 is the instance name. Clients will need to use SQL2008\INST1 to connect to this SQL Server named instance.

You ve already seen the core of the archiving system, the tar and gzip commands. The trick is getting the compressed archive le off of the Linux system. If you have the e-mail system con gured (see 26) that can be your portal to the outside world! While system administrators don t often think of e-mail as a way to archive data, it s a perfectly acceptable method in a snap for getting your archived data to another safe location. I wouldn t recommend trying to archive your entire Linux system and send it out as an e-mail attachment, but archiving a working directory and using it as an attachment should not be a problem.
